Shop Manager and Service Writer

Walker Automotive, Inc in Hopkinsville, KY is seeking a Shop Manager and Service Writer to join our team. We are looking for someone who is passionate about cars, dedicated to providing excellent customer service, and has strong leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage daily operations of the shop, including scheduling, ordering parts, and overseeing technicians
• Provide exceptional customer service, including greeting customers, answering questions, and providing accurate estimates
• Write service orders, detailing work to be done and estimated costs
• Ensure work is completed efficiently and to the highest quality standards
• Communicate with customers throughout the service process, providing updates and recommendations
• Handle any customer concerns or complaints in a professional and timely manner
• Maintain a clean and organized shop environment
• Work closely with the owner and other team members to ensure the shop operates smoothly and efficiently

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in the automotive industry, especially in a management or customer service role
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
• Knowledge of automotive systems and repair procedures
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to lead and motivate a team of technicians
