Job Description

Walker Automotive, Inc in Elkton, KY is seeking a highly organized and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Shop Manager and Service Writer. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our shop, as well as acting as the primary point of contact for customers requesting automotive services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the scheduling of appointments and allocation of work within the shop
• Ensure that all repairs and services are completed in a timely and efficient manner
• Provide accurate and detailed estimates to customers for all work needed on their vehicles
• Communicate effectively with customers regarding the status of their vehicles and any additional repairs or services required
• Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
• Supervise and train shop technicians to ensure high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Handle customer complaints or issues in a professional and timely manner

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in automotive repair or service writing
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Proficient computer skills and experience with automotive repair software
• Knowledge of automotive systems and components
